Psycholinguistics Psycholinguistics is study of the language psychology and the relationship between human mind and the language . This definition covers many aspects such as language production, and language acquisition. Another definition of psycholinguistics is :the experimental study of the psychological processes through which a human subject acquires and implements the system of a natural language" (Caron, 1992, Language Acquisition Language acquisition is defined as the act of acquiring a language, either a first language or a second language .However, some linguists do distinguish between acquiring the first language and the second language. They refer to the unconscious process of acquiring language as the language acquisition . Second language acquisition is called language learning because it is a conscious process therefore these two aspects are different .
